Our client is a market leading manufacturing business based north of York, supplying to premium products both in the UK and overseas. The company is enjoying a period of extended growth and is looking to recruit a Divisional Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the monthly management accounts as well as the business forecasts and costings. The role will also provide support to some project based accounts to ensure the board can make informed decisions on investment and strategy.
The successful candidate will ideally be qualified Accountant with some experience of the manufacturing sector although QBE with significant experience in manufacturing / pricing / costings environments will be considered. You will be able to demonstrate excellent monthly management accounts production as well as balance sheet reconciliations and cost accounting experience.
Good Excel skills are essential as is attention to details and a proactive approach that has seen you deliver real business benefit in your previous roles. You will be happy to communicate with senior stakeholders across the business and have the ability to take on new tasks and projects.
You will possess great communication skills and be comfortable explaining financial issues to senior management and leadership teams.
