Sharp Consultancy is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing business in Harrogate for a Credit Controller to join its friendly and supportive finance team on a 6-month temporary contract. With an increasing workload, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to secure an immediate start with a business that genuinely invests in its people and offers a positive working culture.

If you’re an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys building strong customer relationships, managing a busy workload and taking a proactive approach to outstanding payments, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

As Credit Controller, you'll play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and building strong relationships with customers. Working alongside an experienced finance team, your responsibilities will include:

Proactively contacting customers to collect outstanding and overdue payments.
Posting and allocating incoming payments accurately.
Setting up new customer accounts, including completing credit checks, obtaining references, and arranging upfront payments where required.
Investigating and resolving customer account queries promptly and professionally.
Completing customer account reconciliations.
Maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider finance function when required.

We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience within a Credit Control role.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.
The ability to manage a busy workload and work effectively under pressure.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience using Sage would be an advantage, but it's by no means essential.
