Audit Senior

Job description

A well-established accountancy practice is continuing to grow its Leeds team and is looking to add a qualified Audit Senior to the business. This is an excellent firm that works with a varied portfolio of clients giving its people plenty of exposure to different sectors, clients and types of work.

 

The role will see you working across both audit and accounts, taking responsibility for assignments from planning through to completion and working closely with clients throughout. You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside more senior members of the team and gain further experience across a broad client base.

 

This would suit an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who is looking for a role with good client exposure and clear opportunities to progress. It’s a particularly good option for someone who enjoys the variety that practice offers and wants to continue developing their technical and commercial experience within a supportive team.

 

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for Manager and Partner review

  • Planning, coordinating and completing audit assignments and accounts work

  • Liaising with clients before and during assignments to obtain the required information

  • Completing audit and accounts files within agreed timescales and budgets

  • Completing sections of audit files, or entire files, including subsidiaries within group audits

  • Supporting the wider audit team across their client portfolio

 

Who you are:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified

  • Previous experience within an audit environment

  • Comfortable managing a varied workload and working to deadlines

  • Organised, with good problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative

  • Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting colleagues

  • Keen to continue developing their career within practice
