Assistant Management Accountant

​This is an excellent opportunity within the Property sector for a driven CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified Accountant, or an individual looking to begin their professional studies, to join a growing finance function. The role offers strong long-term development prospects, with the opportunity to progress internally as you continue to build your experience and qualifications within a dynamic property environment.

As the Management Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and gain broad exposure across multiple areas of the property portfolio and wider business. Key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting processes across the property portfolio

  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies identified

  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, including rental income, service charges, and operational expenditure

  • Preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments accurately and within deadlines

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures

  • Producing financial reports and analysing data to support commercial and operational decision-making

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and property-related regulations

  • Supporting audits and providing information requested by internal and external stakeholders

  • Working collaboratively with property managers and wider departments to improve financial processes and controls

  • Providing ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team as required

The successful candidate will ideally be studying towards a CIMA/ACCA qualification, with previous experience within Management Accounts, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, or Property Finance positions, alongside a desire to further expand their accounting knowledge and skills within the property sector.
