Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with large and fast paced business in Doncaster - in recruiting an ambitious and driven Assistant Management Accountant who will provide finance support to the Finance Manager and Senior Management Teams through the production of timely and accurate management and financial information.
This role will be based in Doncaster and will be working in a team of 5 who operate a hybrid working style and will be responsible for reporting all the UK financial results, budgeting, and forecasting.
This will offer exposure to the full breadth of finance - month-end close, balance sheet maintenance, sales forecasting, commercial data analysis and project work.
Ideally you will be keen to operate in a fast-paced and challenging environment and demonstrate the ability to provide an active challenge to the business.
Main duties and responsibilities:
*Assist with preparation of the monthly management accounts
*Undertake all balance sheet reconciliations
*Process journals
*Support the review of all budget and forecast variances through the production of monthly variance reports
*Assist with the production of the cash forecasting
*Support the preparation of cash reporting and variance analysis
*Stakeholder management
*Work with Sales managers to ensure and maximize business performance
*Pricing analysis
*Support and challenge the sales team in the forecasting
*Produce reports on monthly spend by project versus budget/forecast and review with sales teams to challenge and reforecast
*Identify opportunities for savings
*Produce monthly overhead spend analysis and review versus budget/forecast to identify opportunities and risks
*Support the monthly / quarterly review process by providing financial information against Capex, Budget and Forecast
*Prepare and submit monthly cash flows and monitoring reports as required
