Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a fast paced manufacturing business located in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.
Due to continued and sustained company growth there is a need to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their established and successful Finance team working closely with senior management and operations.
This opportunity will ideally suit an ambitious and driven individual with experience in a similar position, who is ready for a new challenge alongside progression.
The role will provide financial information and analysis to track & improve business performance alongside assisting decision making.
Main duties and responsibilities:
*Assisting with the preparation of accounts
*Significant involvement in the weekly and monthly financial reporting process
*Improvement of Purchase Ledger Controls
*Controlling budgets
*Monthly journal posting
*Sales & margin analysis
*Working with the wider team on any purchasing queries
*VAT and intrastat reporting
*Liaising with internal and external customers and providing financial information and advice
*Maintaining records and preparing accounts and management information
*Looking after financial transactions and budget
