We are working with a highly reputable and growing business based in central Leeds to add a standalone Accounts/Purchase Ledger Clerk to a small but supportive accounts team. Reporting directly to the Group FC, the successful candidate will work as part of the wider accounts team ensuring all elements of Purchase Ledger are maintained accurately and efficiently.

Duties and responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Clerk are to include but not exclusive to:
*Managing purchase ledger activities including checking and posting invoices, reconciling accounts, dealing with invoice queries, liaising with suppliers and preparing payment runs.
*Liaising with part-time accounts assistant on reconciliation of jobs in job management software.
*Staff expenses, acting as finance filter for staff expenses submitted and posting into finance system.
*Posting customer receipts, nominal bank payments and receipts.
*Providing transactional cover for Assistant Accountant when away from office.
*Any other ad-hoc tasks as requested.
*We would be keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experiences.

The ideal individual with have the following skills and experiences:

*Previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Good IT skills including knowledge of Sage 50 and intermediate Excel skills.
*Good customer service skills and communication skills both internally and externally.
