Accounts Assistant

​Sharp Consultancy are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy and friendly finance team based in Selby. This is a temporary role with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

This opportunity would suit someone with solid transactional accounts experience who is looking for stability, progression, and the chance to grow with a business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices.

  • Managing supplier statements and reconciling accounts.

  • Assisting with bank reconciliations.

  • Handling expenses and supporting payroll processes.

  • Supporting month end duties, including journals and accruals.

  • General finance administration and ad hoc support to the finance team.

About You

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.

  • Confident using accounting software and Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

  • Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working to deadlines.

  • Available to start at short notice (or within a short timeframe).
