An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant working within a fast-paced office, based in Sheffield. Our client has over 10 years' experience within their industry and are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised, diligent friendly person, who can also work to strict deadlines whilst paying attention to detail. Being capable and confident of working individually and as part of a small team is also a must. This position would be a great fit for someone in either entry level or the early stages of a career in accounts.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be processing sub-contractor invoices, ensuring they are appropriately authorised in a timely and efficient manner, as well as liaising with suppliers and internal staff regarding invoice queries. You will be updating spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and will be the main point of call for inbound calls for the accounts department. There will be general administration duties you will need to complete, for example filing, photocopying, post handling, ad hoc housekeeping duties. You will interact, meet and welcome clients whilst also providing refreshments. You will be expected to assist with ad hoc duties to support the accounts department when required.

The ideal candidate will:
*Have good initiative
*Previous experience based in an accounts department/Admin role would be a great advantage but is not essential.
*IT literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft excel.
*Be self-disciplined, with demonstrably good time management skills and the ability to manage a number of priorities
*Be a team player
*Professional and pleasant manner in dealing with internal and external customers.
*Able to multi-task, and work efficiently and accurately under pressure, with good organisation and administration skills

Hours of work: 9:00am- 5:00PM, Monday to Friday including 30 minutes lunch break
