A fast growing business based in Hull who are within both the manufacturing and construction industry are looking for a strong, proactive and confident person to come in as a Management Accountant to take the growing accounts function forward. You will report into the FC and have a wide reaching role that over arcs the finance, commercial and operational functions in the organisation.
Responsibilities and duties include;
*Assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
*Assist in the analysis of financial results
*Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
*Assist in Debtors Management, billing and calculation of WIP
*Review of the Fixed Asset Register and fixed asset verification
*Manage journal entries and the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for month and year end
*Run payroll including reviewing timesheets, administering starters and leavers, calculating and paying PAYE and any other payroll related activity.
*Participate in preparation for an annual audit and liaise with audit field team.
*Preparation of the company’s monthly and quarterly tax returns ensuring that submission in is in line with HMRC deadlines
*Manage, train, develop and motivate direct reports to ensure the delivery of high performance, acting as an enthusiastic, positive and motivated role model for the team.
*Proactively manage personal development, to increase performance levels and provide opportunities for career development
*Ongoing development of cross function relationships to maintain & improve the flow of key information, ensuring the delivery of on time and internally consistent data
*Support Financial Controller in other ad-hoc tasks which may arise.
